Mosaic Workshop The workshop introduces you to basic mosaic techniques. Using a vivid palette of stained glass, broken crockery, tiles, shells, stone and driftwood you will produce a timeless artwork. You will practice a variety of glass cutting / shaping methods and learn how to grout and seal your artwork. There is nothing quite like a Mosaic piece: the choice of colours, the reflection of the glass, the ability to cut fine detail or broad bands of colour... imagination is the only limitation. The focus for your first piece is applying the technique. Is is a sound starting point for larger, more ambitious projects. There is plenty of opportunity to ask questions and you will leave with a comprehensive set of class notes, a finished project and the necessary skills to complete your next 'solo' project.
